December Mantra: Joy!
This month we will be be focusing on finding Joy in fitness and food!
Find workouts and forms of activity that bring you Joy, or find the Joy in whatever forms of fitness you already practice. Make a festive Christmas playlist to workout to. I did this for my Sorority Fitness clients and we had a blast in class! The Glee and Justin Bieber Christmas albums made Pilates a little party.
Food is easy. Make a little bucket list of your favorite foods, wines, indulgences, whatever they are and enjoy them! It sounds so trivial and simple, but so often eating and working out just become mundane items to check off on your to-do lists.
Tonight I have a little girl’s night with my friend Caroline. She’s coming over and we are going to enjoy life. For us that means:
Frank Family Chardonnay! This is my all time favorite wine. It’s buttery, flavorful and decadent. Every sip is like a little vacation. It also bring me Joy because Jake and I visited the vineyard in Napa, so it brings back memories.
Brie en Croute! Oh my this is a Joy. Such a decadent pleasure. Brie is amazing on it’s own , but Brie en Croute is such a treat.
You can’t have all these fabulous indulgences without fitness, so with all this comes the Joy of Fitness. Make time for yourself today and find a form of fitness that brings you Joy. For me that means making time for Yoga at Black Swan Yoga.
Find Joy in Life this month! Or as the French say, “Joie de Vivre!”
